A special variant of the Salvus
The photos below show two unusual configurations of the Salvus oxygen rebreather.
No1. Special ‘Salvus’ with oxygen cylinder, reducing valve, carried at the side in a pocket attached to the waist-belt; CO2 absorbent chamber and breathing bag in front of wearer. Pressure gauge flexible tube in breast position.
No2. Same apparatus with pressure gauge connected to reducing valve. This apparatus is suitable for 30 minutes work on a charge of oxygen and CO2 absorbent. Other sizes made last 45 and 60 minutes.
