Produced by DEMA, the annual DEMA Show is the largest trade-only event in the world for companies doing business in the scuba diving, ocean water sports and adventure/dive travel industries. It attracts hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of dive and travel industry professionals from around the world each year.
Dema has been organised annually in the USA since 1977. Here are some impressions of Dema from the early 2000s.

The New APD Head Up display. Two green, and two red leds indicate the rebreather functions. When an alarm is triggered the HUD starts vibrating.
Here is the new Evolution handset. There is only a single handset. The unit has build in decompression. Not RGBM but micro bubble algorithm. On one screen it shows all cell readings of master and slave function. All information is downloadable to a PC. CO2 monitor is integrated. (not much heart about the functioning but it seems to be functioning with temperature sensors in axial direction through the scrubber).
The Evolution consist of a 2 ltr tankset, a 2 kg scrubber and is rated for 2 hours
The Evolution is gonna be arround US$ 10.000,-. It will include multigas decompression computer.
HUD - NEW electronics including PC readouts - On board decompression looks great...
The unit has a side hinged lid and has Jeep Style buckles. They look a lot stronger than the Inspiration slots.
I presume the new electronics will be available for the Inspiration in the near future!
The developments with Ambient Pressure Diving are very impressive! I can hardly wait diving one of these evolutions!
Micropene has the Extend Air cartridge for the Inspiration. They managed to build it in a standard scrubber housing . The inner sofnolime holder is replaced by special adaptors.
The new Cartridges are tested and has been tested to 4 hours use! Check their website for the latest information: http://www.extendair.com/

Travel Kiss is targeted for US$ 3700 and the KISS US$ 4600
The funniest thing is the breathing bag/scrubber combo (the sorb sits across the top. Exhaled gas through the scrubber into inhalation side, over to the exhalation bag, and out through the scrubber again). Have a look at the pic,
divers will need to be able to take abuse over that. : )
As with the MiniMegalodon without the tanks the rig fits in the overhead compartment, and scrubber time is good for two hours.
Halcyon displayed the RB80, again with clear housings to show the interior. Both JJ and Andrew Georgitis were there to answer questions about the rig.
This time I managed a decent shot from the rear/side.
It also has the current harness and new inflator, which is beautifully made with metal buttons.
DeltaP had VR2s on display with the new color screen. The VR3 works with Nitrox but not with trimix. Check this page for additional information:

This a first picture of Kevin Gurrs OUROBOROS. In the center section you find a digital read out for the buddy with pO2 info.
The led and display informs the buddy on the oxygen presure
Electronics are build in the VR3 housing.

The Radial scrubber with eight pounds of scrubber absorbent
Very nice rebreather. I hope Kevin will supply additional information on this rebreather soon!
I found the Megalodon most impressive. Quality and workmanship are very good, everything feels as solid as a tank. Yet it comes apart easily, very user friendly.
The rig has well thought out moisture traps in the head and watertraps in the scrubber. Same head, three scrubber sizes.
The 2hr Mini Meg travels without tanks in the overhead bin. 3 sensors, two batteries in watertight compartments, each with a magnetic reed on/off switch. One powers the single computer and primary, the other the secondary cell readout and single tri-color LED. The primary only controls the O2 addition, and also displays battery status, scrubber temp, depth & run time. The secondary just shows O2 readouts, battery status and runs the HUD. The tank-like housing offers itself for dual RB, much like the RB80. Leon customizes rigs for owners in the factory, and the modular system allows the user to do the same.
Prism news: Integrated deco computer with HeadsDown Display. Gives full deco info and readout of the three sensors. Finally. Currently testing with Bühlmann ZH-16, they're trying to implement Wiencke's RGBM.
The HDD computer was impressive, and easy to read, at least out of the water. With almost everyone offering HUDs now they will be one step ahead again. CE certification will most likely follow after that.
Both the colorfull and Kermit-colored Prism had custom steel backpplates, the former with and additional horizontal tank AND a full cover.
The M48-Supermask won't be available for a while to end users outside the government (18months last I heard).

RIB for divers, complete with side-mounted scooters and a matching blue&white Inspiration. : ) Since they actually displayed it with 2 RBs I thought you might as well have them, too. Check out the side-mounted Farallon scooters
