OC diving without bubbles in your face. Ideal for UW camerawork!
(unfortunately all fish is gone since the bubbles stay! I would suggest buying a CC rebreather! ;))

Inventor: Johan G. Wythoff patent: 5275444
If you are looking for adaptors, switches manifolds, they offer a large program for technical divers!

M&J San Diego California offers a superb gas switch block. There code GSB 1000. It is made extremely compact and a big advantage is when switching gas the knob has to be turned 180 degrees! The price is less than euro 300 !! M&J website: http://www.omniswivel.com 12520 Kirkham Court #1 Poway, CA 92064 Phone: 858.748.9442 Fax: 858.679.1632 Great stuff! Here you see the electronics connected to a laptop. All data obtained during the dive including warnings, decompression data can be downloaded. Scrubber use, ascent and descent rates are available. The user has a two way interaction. He also has the possibility to upload data to the electronics to upgrade the EPROM.

Martin Parker director of Ambient Pressure Diving demonstrating the software to me. The user interface can be programmed in a chosen language.
Also the display shows all dive information in the owners language.

The new Fast lock of the scrubber lid clearly visible. The distribution bar is split for oxygen and diluent.
The buzzer is folded into the housing, but usually is near the ear of the diver

Ambient pressure diving presented the Vision software and the new generation Inspiration & Evolution rebreathers. The company is almost ready to deliver the first Evolution rebreathers to the market. There are some details changed in the final version of the handsets. You can find a more detailed description of the functions from the Vision version in the manuals who are online now.

Submatix is a fast growing rebreather producing company. They had an impressive presentation. Documentation and information was perfect. The units look good and there is a CE certified model now. (Submatix SCR 100 ST).
Now offered:
SCR 100 ST with CE standard semi closed rebreather
SCR 100 XT semi closed rebreather with two different gasses (travel/bottom)
SCR 100 SMS Needle valve selfmixing unit (external oxygen bottle

Finally a GOOD mouthpiece. This is a real improvement. I wrote in 2003 that the Azimuth mouthpiece should be looked at for design reasons. These guys did that! The mouthpiece operated fantastic. It is very smooth, and van be closed and opened without any problem and with ONE hand! 10 points! for this mouthpiece

Holger Berghäuser presented his TR300 rebreather. The shown unit is a prototype. It is a promising development since Holger's goal is to build a rebreather for a larger public. The unit looks like a pssive addition rebreather but is in fact a normal SCR. There is a certain modular construction since the unit can be reconfigured to a CMF closed circuit rebreather. The unit has actually been tested and is in a preproduction phase. The most impressive factor is the price. Goal is to sell the unit for 1000,- euro. That would certainly offer big possibilities for rebreather diving. If you want extra information visit Holger's webpages: http://www.hb-best.de

I missed Delta P and didn't make pictures of the new version of the Ouroboros. Thanks to Frank Stoop these pictures can be published on my web. He made the pictures with permission of Delta P.

OK, ok I'll show you the details.... on the right, Rob Postma (Rip)my CC trainer.
Check the smart connecting system. The scrubber can be filled without taking the rig from the set.

Just before Boot 2005 I received an email from Matthias Pfister. He asked me to visit him and take a look at his new RON rebreather. I contacted him and was fortune to meet him. Matthias showed me his RON (rebreather ohne name = rebreather without a name) and highly impressed me with the superior quality of his unit.

Therebreathersite was founded by Jan Willem Bech in 1999. After a diving career of many years, he decided to start technical diving in 1999. He immediately noticed that at that time there was almost no website that contained the history of closed breathing systems. The start for the website led to a huge collection that offered about 1,300 pages of information until 2019. In 2019, a fresh start was made with the website now freely available online for everyone. Therebreathersite is a source of information for divers, researchers, technicians and students. I hope you enjoy browsing the content!
