In 1904 G.A. Meyer of Sauerstoff Fabrik Berlin released a new unit Modell 1904
The unit was equipped with a scrubber fitted in the counterlung.
The rebreather had 3 x 0,77 ltr oxygenbotles worn on the back.
Meyer used a larger surface of dry ‘Aetzkali’ or Caustic potash to absorb the Co2.
The oxygenbottle, the pressurereducer, the injector and pressure gauge were build in a leather cover.
This was to prevent the tubing to get entangled.
Because the unit used an injector is was necessary to add an overpressure valve.
